The slip-chain model offers limited pulling force, while the center plate, as with all other SPRENGER training collars, relieves pressure on the dog's sensitive larynx. Additionally, all links of the chain are rounded to eliminate any risk of injury. The swivel prevents the leash from getting caught, as it rotates with every movement. If needed, the center plate can be replaced with our ClicLock closure for quick and easy fitting. Since the chain is slipped over the dog's head, please consider the head circumference when selecting the size! The closer links allow for more precise control with a thicker wire and offer an alternative to the 2.25 mm training collar. This makes the chain particularly suitable for very active dogs for whom the 2.25 mm wire would not be strong enough, such as Malinois. Please note that the training collar is only recommended for use while the dog is on a leash and during training. It is not suitable for off-leash walking, transport, or similar uses. The black stainless steel version is made using an electroplating process to blacken the surface of the material, which is then polished. As this is not a permanent coating, an attractive antique finish will develop over time due to friction.
